LA Disney musician and Side Street Strutters band leader, Rob Verdi, returns to the Sapphire Room for an encore performance benefitting the Idaho Jazz Education Endowment.
For this performance, Rob will be performing popular jazz standards as well as excerpts from his popular show Saxophobia. Saxophobia offers audiences a glimpse at some of the most unusual saxophones ever made and pays tribute to a handful of legendary artists who gave the sax it’s unique voice in jazz. Rob will once again be sharing the stage with an 8 piece band comprised of local talented professional musicians including an exciting horn section, a high energy rhythm section and guest vocalists. Many of the musical selections will be from the library of legendary arranger Tom Kubis whose work has been performed in Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, the Montreux Jazz Festival and stages throughout the world. Rob is looking forward to sharing a few of his rare saxophones with you in what will surely be an educational and entertaining evening of great jazz.
